It’s also useful to know bacterial numbers in culture or to examine viability in response to a variety of chemicals, such as antibiotics, various food sources, or toxins. AkrivisBio’s Bacterial Counting Assay is a simple versatile assay, designed to quantify bacteria in a wide variety of samples and viability under a defined set of conditions. The assay is sensitive and can detect bacterial samples starting with as few as 10 bacteria per well. The rate of color development during the assay is proportional to the number of viable bacteria present.
